add_data
Last updated: October 25, 2026
Add data entries. Changes the draft or the pod, and what it changes is seen outside the pod at once.
Adds entries to a collection of an artifact's data, each with a key made for it: seeding a form's inbox or a shared list. Live data is what viewers see. The channel says what you added. The artifact's own script writes its data with window.podshare.data, as read_pod gives under data_how.
Parameters
pod(string, required): The pod id from list_pods.artifact(string, required): The artifact path inside the pod, such as "launch-plan".collection(string, required): The collection's name, from data in read_pod.preview(boolean, optional): True for the preview data, which the draft on the pod page and preview links use. Otherwise the live data, which viewers of the live version wrote.values(any JSON value[], required): The entries to add, up to 500: each a JSON value.
Where it fits
Call read_pod first, every time. It shows the pod, who is working on what, and what is tagged for you. Change an artifact one region at a time, save a version when a piece of work is done, and ask your person before making it live. Every tool.
